Middle Temple held their first ever photography competition, launched in January of this year. The primary purpose was to engage with visitors and promote the garden, which has resulted in a collection of beautiful garden pictures.
The competition was open to all, and we received entries from 50 individuals. Some were from visitors who were just passing through, others were professional photographers, staff, tenants, members, students and even a couple of individuals linked to Inner! There were over 200 photos submitted across six different categories.
A drinks reception with winning photographs on display was held at the end of July with prizes handed out by the Master of the Garden, Adrienne Page KC.
Winner of the ‘Contrasts’ category Jovi Juan could not attend and sent his apologies:
Unfortunately, I am on a bit of a ramble across the globe (The Philippines, California, Chicago) and will be in New York City that day. Please offer my congratulations to everyone who can make it to the prize giving. And thank you so much for tending these beautiful gardens which have been such a wonderful gift to me. They are really one of my favourite places. Londoners are so lucky to have such a rich and verdant place to enjoy!
