I was deeply honoured to receive a student sponsorship from Middle Temple to take part in the Amity Vvisit to The Hague. The experience was both intellectually enriching and personally inspiring, offering a unique insight into the institutions and ideals that underpin international law and the pursuit of justice.

During the visit, we explored key international organisations, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Standing in the Peace Palace, surrounded by the symbols and history of global diplomacy, I was struck by the profound importance of law as a means of resolving conflict and promoting understanding between nations. It reinforced my belief that the principles of fairness, integrity, and service values remain vital on a global scale.

Equally valuable were the discussions with fellow students and professionals from diverse backgrounds. These conversations broadened my perspective on how legal frameworks and personal commitment can work together to advance peace and justice. I would not have had this opportunity so soon without the support of the Inn, and I look forward to potentially progressing my career at the Bar internationally!

The Amity Visit was far more than an educational trip; it was an experience that deepened my appreciation for the rule of law and the role of lawyers in shaping a more equitable world. I am sincerely grateful to Middle Temple for their generosity and for enabling students to take part.
